resume writing workshop
An effective resume is an absolute necessity in today's competitive job market. The Resume Writing workshop will provide you with the information and assistance required to prepare a resume that best represents your unique skills, abilities, experience, and accomplishments.
career charting workshop
In this four day workshop, you will learn more about the person you are, what your strengths and interests are, and how to research the career goal of your choice. Armed with this information, you will be able to make a more informed decision about your future and career options.
self-empowerment workshop
This workshop will challenge you to sit in the driver's seat and make the choices that will help you take responsibility for your life, actions, and feelings. You have the free will to live your life the way you choose to live it, to set goals you want to meet, and then achieve them!
self-esteem program
Using a combination of theory, interactive exercises, questionnaires, scenarios, and class discussions, this workshop allows participants to explore their present level of self-esteem and gain tools to improve and strengthen it. A life skills approach provides a supportive environment and encourages active participation.
experience for hire program
Experience for Hire! Integrated Training for Older Workers assists unemployed, underemployed and retired Albertans over the age of 50 to retrain and prepare to return to work in the retail, hospitality/tourism and service sectors.
fear workshop
Learn to recognize and manage fears, doubts and insecurities to be as successful as possible in a given situation.
employment preparation programs
We offer a number of programs to assist individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment to successfully find work and maintain employment. If you have a physical disability, have suffered an injury, have a learning disability, a mental illness, or any other barrier preventing you from reaching your goals, we can assist you.
stress management workshop
This workshop will help you learn how to manage stress, identify what stresses individuals and when, identify how our bodies respond to stress, and learn techniques proven to assist individuals with de-stressing. Control your stress rather than it controlling you!
strive program
The Support and Training Resulting In Valued Employment program is a 12-14 week program that provides essential skills, job specific skills, and work experience to assist individuals in gaining employment in three specific streams: Rehabilitation (Disability Services), Pre-Trades, and the Service Industry.
safety certifications training courses
Community Employment Services is pleased to offer certified courses in Standard First Aid/CPR, AED, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS), and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Clear Language. These courses are priced very competitively and funding assistance may be available.
